Welcome to my world of books. I love to write so I need you very, very much. Without a reader I have no use for what I do. Your enjoyment is my joy. I have always wanted to entertain, amuse and even educate younger folk. I am getting older, so that side of things is picking up! Had a birthday on the weekend, so I have gone up a notch! I used to be the youngest everywhere I went, now that I have gone into the big 60s, I am one of the 'seniors' so that's cool. I like having more respect and now the only thing is, should my hair be gray? Would that promote my image up the respect ladder?
I am just working on this new website, now nearly 3 weeks old. Check out my blogs and have your say on the topics I like to think about.
I feel very happy today, so that's good news. Henry has promised to take me out in celebration of our 39th year and 3 months married, yesterday. We went out for the first time on 6th February, 1972 and got married on 2nd December, 1972! It was a hectic and every so romantic time for both of us.
Because everything of such importance happened in our 40th year, we are celebrating as much as possible, and just being together, playing computer solitaire, chatting away, is very celebratory for us. He still surprises me and I still mystify him, so life goes on very well indeed. I have started making home made bread again, so I am up a notch in his estimation. The bread is delicious by the way, and so easy. Maybe I should pop the recipe on here. Takes about 2.5 hours if you have a warm place to let the bread rise, and it takes about 22 minutes to cook a tray of fresh bread rolls (buns). They go down so well that you just feel satisfied after lunch, which is the time-frame I aim for. I just bought some gluten free flour, so if we have visitors with problems eating normal bread, I can use it to bake them fresh, gluten free bread rolls, steaming hot, soft, crusty, delicious. Even the beautiful baking smells gives one a heady feeling of great satisfaction.
Come back, and if you visit Margate in Queensland, come past and stay for a cuppa.
Warmly yours, in bread that is,
Marie x:)
