Check out this novel from George Matthew Cole; its his first novel and a great fast-paced read especially for YA.

Colt has some struggles to overcome, including his height; we find great interaction between best buddies and other friends; emails feature as well, giving another side to each interesting person as they are introduced into the plot; we also gain an insiders perspective of computers.  Our protagonist struggles and at times seems to fail in his relationships with various people, including girlfriends and particularly his father. He is not living up to his parents expectations and like many younger folk today, tries to handle things his way.

His life goes from bad to worse at one point, and we wonder if there will be any redemption for our protagonist, Colt. This is an interesting character that younger folk [and those who remember back that far] can relate to, empathise with and have sympathy for. Will everything turn out as his parents expect or will Colt do it 'his way'?  Along with his struggles Colt appears to have unusual insights during stressful situations... This is a great read and an excellent first novel that I am sure you will enjoy from the first page to the last...
